Give me wine to wash me clean of the weather-stains of cares.

― Ralph Waldo Emerson

As I am going to be seeing my parents soon , I have – as is customary by now – ordered a couple of wines for me and my dad to try. The small package will just suffice for a few days and actually includes something I usually shy away from, a white wine given the barrique treatment. The wines on the list below are wines I had on my shortlist and I usually use a stay at my parents’ place to sample potential future candidates for this household. If they turn out to be duds, my dad will gladly finish them. A win-win situation. 🙂

The wines:

  1. “Weißer Burgunder und Chardonnay” (Hörner, Hainbachhof)
  2. “Riesling Selection trocken, Walsheimer Silberberg” (Karl Pfaffmann GdbR)
  3. “Grauer Burgunder Selection trocken, Walsheimer Silberberg” (Karl Pfaffmann GdbR)
  4. “Sauvignon blanc, Qualitätswein trocken” (Hörner, Hainbachhof)
  5. “Chardonnay Reserve QbA trocken , Barrique” (Siegrist)
