The Strypes hit my radar screen a few years ago and have stayed on it, no mean feat in an ever-growing collection. I think it was NME that criticized their second and most recent album, “Little Victories” (2015), for not having fulfilled the promise of their debut album, “Snapshot” (2013), by having developed an unoriginal nineties indie sound, but I disagree. Besides, I don’t really care about critical evaluations of stuff I like. All I know is that  I would have loved to see these guys live when I was (much) younger and should they ever cruise by my remote stomping grounds, I will certainly run – not walk – to secure a ticket.

P.S.: It’s that time of year again, with a million tests to correct and grades to be handed out … hence the silence around here.
