George Shearing

It’s George Shearing day here today. Next to Oscar Peterson’s recordings, of which I have a ton, George Shearing’s discography is a cornerstone of my jazz collection. Although, at times, he slipped a bit too much into lounge territory, his earlier MGM and Capitol recordings are mostly brilliant.
