Carrie & Lowell

Just a heads up: Sufjan Stevens’ “Carrie & Lowell” (March 2015) is a fabulous album. I don’t think I have been this impressed by an album in the past 20 years and more. It’s alternative folk (is that even a term?), it is often (extremely) depressing and altogether a very quiet, but also simply a beautiful album. It might not be your cup of tea, but it certainly is mine.

P.S.: I have never consciously heard of this guy or his music, but I’ll check out his older albums as well now.
