Back in Black

Now that the band is experiencing all kinds of problems, despite the release of their new album, I would like to go on record saying that within a rather massive collection I call my own, AC/DC’s Back in Black (Albert/Atlantic Records, 1980) is probably a) the best and b) the album with the most staying power within that particular genre. My LP is completely worn down and the various CD editions I have don’t look any better. There isn’t a single mediocre track on the album and the whole thing smokes the competition time and again. There are very, very few albums I have that I have been listening to more than regularly ever since I got them and this is definitely one of them. A fabulous album which, unfortunately, they have never been able to match again. But, hey, you can’t record timeless classics every other week.
